10/52

I'm doing it a day early because it will be "heads down/bum up" for the next few days here. We have removalists here packing on Monday, uplifting Tuesday, cleaning Wednesday, final inspection Thursday and fly out Friday.

*insert manic laughter here*

thequeen

Imp - Dressed up in all her finery after seeing a photo of the Queen on the net. "I will be the Queen of Tasmania." She has also insisted that I send this to the Queen. Anyone have her email address?

Squeak - Helping Daddy bury her placenta before we move. I didn't think to grab the big camera so I instagramed it instead.

Joining in with Che and Fidel, boy eats kasha, Ingrid Lerstad, and the hundreds of photographers involved in the 52 Project.

See you when we are off the mainland!

  1. Love the last pic - we buried our boys placenta's at Christmas. Under our family placenta tree up North on our family land. Really special to do that. And good luck with your move! Very exciting! xo

  2. i am so envious! We had the chance to spend 6 glorious months on Bruny Island in 2010. It will remain forever a magical memory. I think my heart and soul lie in Tassie. Good luck with the move and I hope it's all you wish for. xx

  8. I'm sure the Queen would be delighted to receive a gift like that! What a special thing to do- I really wish I'd kept my sons placenta to plant. We just arrived back after a holiday in Tassie- it was all kinds of amazing down there- good luck with the move. x

  12. Best of luck with your move! No time for this now, but sometimes when you do send stuff like this to figureheads (e.g., President of US, Queen of England, etc), they will send you a nice thank you letter on letterhead to save for your kids scrap book. Save that for a project when you aren't in the midst of a move.
