A special one this week:

Husband, Imp and Squeak experiencing snow for the first time. They were cold but in awe.

Another week with some really cool bloggers who are joining in with Che and Fidel for the 52 Project.

Botanical Gardens

Untitled

A slight break in the weather and a public holiday saw us take advantage of the free time to visit the Gardens before all of the gorgeous oak trees dropped their leaves for the season. I am so thankful to have moved to a place again where you see a defined change in seasons. Where we were previously  would mean this time of year heralds the storms, which admittedly I do miss.

But it is good to show the girls what Autumn really is about.  They enjoyed the sound of scrunching leaves under their feet. The carpet of dappled brown. The different shapes, colours and sizes of leaves.

Untitled

So far Imp has declared this her favourite season; which does not surprise me considering she is an Autumn Child herself. She jumped with glee, pirouetted with leaves in her hands, flung them to the air like confetti. Then we got caught in the rain, so her and I made for shelter under a massive oak tree. Big and Little.

More op shopping gems and a confession.

My Johnsons obsession is now a certifiable addiction.

Yep, its official. No two ways about it. I may need a 12 step program.

Anyway, want to see my latest finds. Oh I am so excited. Hobart is the bomb for finding wonderful little items.

Now this isn't Johnsons but a sweet little teacup made in Romania which just could not be left in the shop so her and her little sister came home with me. Yes, there were two that just should never be separated.

However, these fine specimens are indeed Johnsons. Oh lordy I nearly fainted when I find these.

And this one the next day.

Pyrex!! Pyrex!! The Husband heard me squeal an aisle over when I found this.

One can never really have enough Pyrex, especially when it brings back a child hood memory.

And the motherload. I am really speachless about this find. I may have outdone myself.

15/52

Wow, the last 7 days just flew by so quickly to the point I took NO PICTURES this week. So I am cheating.

This is from the week before.

On my phone.

Tsk tsk.

Imp and Squeak blowing bubbles, much to the joy of our friend's dog who was determined to eat every last one of them.

Fun at the local park. It is the most fantastic park I have ever seen.

Pop over and have a look at the other bloggers who are participating in the 52 Project with Che and Fidel.

Brightness

Way up high

Imp waiting for her chocolate milkshake. "Can you pull down the blind Daddy? It's too bright."

Squeak running down the steps near the Richmond bridge "I am the King of the Jungle. Hop hop hopping."

Joining in with Jodi at Che and Fidel for another installment of the 52 project. Hoping Poet is feeling much better soon and we look forward to your 14/52

A moment

Big and small
Imp and her Daddy with their respective cameras, taking in our new surroundings.

I can't even begin to describe what it is like living here now. It is like we have been transported to another world. Like "plop -here you go." So much is different here: the crispness of the morning air, the gradient shade of blue in the sky, the soil, the trees which are slowly changing colour to reveal the arrival of autumn, the birds - everything!!

Husband is continually blown away by what he sees. The mountain is a constant source of awe to him and he appears to be drawn to it like a magnet. He also photographed and witnessed his first ever aurora, which was on his bucket list; a happy man indeed.

The Littles are taking it all in their stride. Squeak still asks, "where are we?" every now and then. But they are discovering new things which keenly take their interest. Like the house, which backs onto the Channel Highway, that  has a weekly flag change. So far we has seen the New Zealand flag, a shot of earth from space, the French flag and a smilie face. The last one is running as current favourite.

Tomorrow is Squeak's birthday and a small gathering of friends is planned for her. I hope her day is full of joy, even though Husband cannot take time off work from his new job to celebrate with her. So we will spend Saturday doing some fun things with her, like maybe having some pancakes at the Pancake Train maybe followed by Mama being sedated while we go over on the ferry to Bruny Island.

Stay tuned.
